Roxeanne Hazes resents how she is portrayed by her mother Rachel Hazes’ legal team. “What really irritated her is the word ‘inability’. Like she’s crazy.”
Yesterday it was finally time: Rachel Hazes had to appear in court in Utrecht for the handling of the summary proceedings initiated by daughter Roxeanne. She states that Rachel was disinherited just before the death of father André, which would mean that she spent years grabbing from an estate that actually belongs to André Jr. and Rox.
Rox and the tabloid press
Rachel refuses to hand over documents that would prove that she is André’s heir. “They’ve been requested many times by Rox, but Rachel just won’t hand them over. BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT HAVE IT ?”, hazologist Yvonne Coldeweijer screeches at her juice channel. “Just show the document and the whole thing is off the table!”
According to Rachel’s lawyer, Roxeanne is allowed to see the documents, but then she must come by with a lawyer and she is not allowed to make notes or copies. “Because she has close ties to the tabloid press and is not afraid to spread sensitive information,” says Rachel’s lawyer according to Saskia Bellman.
‘Like I’m crazy!’
Rachel’s lawyer Royce de Vries states that it has been offered several times to view all documents at an accountant’s office. “Roxeanne would not have taken advantage of that. De Vries says that there seems to be mainly ‘Roxeanne’s inability to want to understand the pieces’”, says Saskia.
And it is precisely those statements that disturb Roxeanne very much, reveals her good friend Patty Brard Show news. “I think it’s pretty intense and so did she – we were on the phone for a while today – that at one point it was stated by Rachel’s lawyer that there is an ‘inability on the part of Roxeanne to want to understand the documents’. ”
Patty: “What really irritated her is the word ‘inability’. Like she’s crazy. I don’t think that’s what Royce meant, but it was a tone that made me think, guys, come on. The choice of words is quite harsh.”
Nothing to hide?
It is incomprehensible that Rachel is so difficult about releasing the pieces, Patty thinks. “If you have nothing to hide, why don’t you just give it? Maybe I’m very naive about this.”
Criminal lawyer Natacha Harlequin finds it striking. “I hope that the will is there in any case and that the judge can decide further from there. I didn’t hear that until the end of the case. It may be that there is, but that it is not pronounced in the session.”
Her counterpart at RTL Boulevard, Clarice Stenger: “The judge says: ‘If I look at the documents that are there, the documents, the certificate of inheritance (…), it seems that she is not mentioned there.’ Then it seems to be very clear to a judge.”
Arrogant attitude
Camp Rachel’s arrogant attitude therefore seems misplaced, says Shownieuws star Bart Ettekoven. “Her lawyer has a kind of arrogant attitude, Royce, in such a lawsuit. Rox’s lawyer also says: ‘From June, the moment we have contact, there is a very haughty tone of: you wait a while, it’s not all that important.’”
Rachel continuously shouts, even during this session, that her children always come first. Bart: “That’s the same tune we’ve been hearing for a hundred years: I do everything for my children! But in the meantime she has little or no contact with both children.”
Sneak from Patty
Patty expects André Jr. to eventually join his sister’s business. “What I do think is that a new chapter will be added to this. That is when Holland Zingt Hazes is over and little Dré might join his sister. Then we really have the puppets dancing. In fact, it will be summoned by the judge.”
The television diva closes with a spicy sneer at Rachel: “I just can’t imagine that when you are a mother, you have two children, two grandchildren and you have so much money, that this is how you spend your life. I just can’t imagine it.”
Finally: what does Yvonne find most shocking? “That Rox demands that Rachel can no longer call herself Hazes. Very intense! Rox’s lawyer also calls Rachel “Mrs. Galen,” her maiden name, all the time in court. hahaha, savage!”
