Rachel Hazes receives generous compensation for celebrities in the Hospital

Rachel Hazes does not selflessly participate in the TV program BN’ers in the Hospital. She, and the other stars, are paid thousands of euros, according to Marcel van Roosmalen.

Dutch celebrities in the Hospital revolve around four stars who do internships in healthcare to see what special work is being done there. However, they do not do this selflessly and not for a meager book token. Marcel van Roosmalen, who was also asked for the program, reports that many thousands of euros are involved.

2,500 euros

Marcel tells in Media Inside that he received a starting offer of 2,500 euros for three half-days of work. “I received an email from Tuvalu Media on Boxing Day: ‘Would you like to join the hospital as a Dutch celebrity?’ I thought: I don’t lend myself to that. I don’t want a grumbler in the hospital, but they liked that.”

What was offered? “2,500 euros for three half-days and they turn that into a six- or seven-part series. You can see that a bit too. It’s really blown out. I’m glad I didn’t, to be honest.”

Starting bid

Dutch celebrities should be protected from themselves at some point, says colleague Gijs Groenteman. “They say yes to everything apparently if you get them 2,500 euros.”

Guest Emma Wortelboer: “I don’t think that’s quite enough.”

Marcel: “Or can you still negotiate? How does that work? Did I get a very low offer?”

Guest Britt Dekker: “I think they first bet on 2,500, then you can say 10,000 and then you end up in the middle.”

Cheap

Would Marcel have done it for 6,000 euros? “No, I wouldn’t have done it yet. It is made very cheaply and I think it takes too long to be honest, but nice that they do that.”

He is also not impressed by the participating celebrities. “Rachel was afraid she would take the trouble home with her, she said. I rather think that she takes the problems to oncology.”
