Rachel Hazes has announced in a cry of distress that she is very down but meanwhile she continues to take blow after blow. It just doesn’t stop. “She’s an unscrupulous body snatcher!”
It seems that Johan Derksen’s fierce criticism was the last straw for Rachel Hazes. She posted a very emotional story on Instagram (see below) in the late afternoon yesterday, in which she seems to be calling on people to slow down a bit. “I wonder if people realize what the impact of this is.”
“How do you sleep?”
For many people, however, it is as clear as a lump: Rachel would have unjustly grabbed from the legacy of the late André Hazes. It is at least curious that it was only after his death, ie during the settlement of the inheritance, that she decided to withdraw her request for divorce. However, she should have done that before André’s death.
André had stated in his will that Rachel would not receive anything if such a procedure would be running during his death. “She would have known all these years that she was spending money that was due to her children. How do you sleep then? How do you look at yourself in the mirror?” asks Womancolumnist Hester Zitvast wonders.
Unmasking
Hester can’t understand Rachel risking everything for a few bucks. “She knowingly took a risk and now has to deal with the consequences. That is not losing, that is getting what you deserve.”
Hester herself would rather be penniless in a cabin on the moor than miss her children. “I try to imagine how I would ever make a financial decision that puts me at risk of losing touch and bond with my children.”
Corpse snatcher
Columnist Jan Dijkgraaf is even more ruthless towards Rachel. He calls her in his Letter from Jan an ‘unscrupulous corpse snatcher’. “A woman who steals from her own children? A woman who to this day tries to keep the papers proving this away from her own children with the help of an army of lawyers?”
He continues: “Seriously? And then not be ashamed to death? Then force your children to find out the truth through court almost twenty years later and get what they are entitled to? Real? Then I can really only say one thing. I am glad that André Hazes no longer has to experience all this.”
Luke and Rob
Luuk Ikink and Rob Goossens, the stars of RTL Boulevard, find it especially strange that Rachel pretends that her side of the story is yet to come. “In principle, she could of course just tell her story, because that lawsuit has already ended and is now waiting for a verdict. Of course she has already been able to do it,” says Luuk.
According to Rachel’s media representative Guido den Aantractor, you should not take André’s will so literally, but ‘also look at the spirit’. That will be difficult, Luuk thinks: “The strange thing is that she says that she was not divorced with André Hazes, but the papers would show that it was.”
