Rachel Hazes does not know whether André is moving to America: “Seems difficult”

Rachel Hazes advises her son André Hazes Jr. to move to the United States. Not only is it difficult from a career perspective, he would also see his son much less often, she explains.

André Hazes Jr. flies to the United States every now and then to escape his problems in the Netherlands. The singing CO2 monster would now even think of settling permanently on the other side of the ocean. Not so handy, thinks his mother Rachel Hazes.

André to America?

According to Rachel, such an emigration is not easy to fit into André’s life. “I see that our son André loves America as much as his father. I don’t know if he really has any concrete plans to buy a house there. In any case, I will never advise him against it, he has to make his own decisions,” she says in the Story.

One sentence later, Rachel advises against it: “It will be difficult if he goes to live there and his son is here in the Netherlands. It also seems difficult in terms of work.”

‘bit too far’

It’s hard to fly to the Netherlands every weekend for performances, Rachel says. “If he wants to keep working here, living in America seems a bit too far for him to get over every time. But that too is something he has to make his own decision about.”

Is André thinking of performing again? “André is still working intensively to answer important questions about his future and himself.”

Back to Monique?

An emigration to America would be more likely if André returns in the arms of Monique Westenberg and the two of them want to embark on the adventure.

According to an ‘insider’ in the Story, possibly also Rachel, but then anonymised, this is impossible: “Although André goes back to Monique ten times, even though they are still standing in front of the altar: history shows that she is not the woman with who he will always remain together.”
