Lando Norris’ performance in the Hungarian F1 race was great, but the podium celebrations didn’t go quite as well.
Norris managed to break Max Verstappen’s victory trophy when he tried to open a bottle of champagne.
The Brittkuski slammed the bottom of the bottle against the podium with such force that the white vase handed out by the race organizers bounced down and broke into pieces.
Norris initially continued to celebrate as if nothing had happened, but Verstappen soon noticed his colleague’s damage.
However, Verstappen, who took 44 race wins in his career, took the situation with humor. He laughed at Norris as he covered his face in embarrassment.
McLaren apologized for the situation on Twitter, and Red Bull responded wittily.
