Quinquela Martín, Pettoruti and Marta Minujín at an auction for the benefit of the Sívori Museum

A new edition of the Annual auction which will present around one hundred works by important Argentine artists, among which stand out Benito Quinquela Martin, Emilio Pettoruti, Santiago Cogorno and Marta Minujínamong many others.

“This 21st edition will be held virtually again, due to the proven success of the last editions”, highlights Irma Muñoz de Muslera, president of the Friends of the Sívori Museum Associationand adds: “As usual, the auction enables the action of the Friends Association in its collaborating role with the museological program of the Sívori Museum, and it is possible thanks to the generosity of the artists, who donate 50% of the price final sale of his works for the benefit of the Museum”.

The opening of the Auction will be on Thursday, May 19 at 12:00 a.m., virtually, and the works will receive online offers until Thursday, May 26 at 8:00 p.m. Participation will be free and free. The complete catalog can be viewed online on the page of the Asociación Amigos del Museo Sívori.

“Once again, the objective of this event is to promote the best national art, reflected in the creations of our great masters, historical avant-gardes, valued contemporary artists and representatives of emerging languages, and simultaneously raise funds to support the work of the Eduardo Sívori Museum”, says Telma Satz, curator and organizer of the Auction.

The collection brings together paintings, serigraphs, drawings, sculptures, engravings and photographs, among which works by Benito Quinquela Martín, Guillermo Roux, Emilio Pettoruti, Adolfo Nigro, Leónidas Gambartes, Eugenio Daneri, Leopoldo Presas, Líbero Badíi and Onofrio Pacenza.
