A new sign of life after the 2017 album: Queens of the Stone Age awaken hope for new music.
Queens of the Stone Age have posted a teaser on Twitter that could be part of a new single. They previously announced that this was their “special week”.
Her tweet with the music video trailer was captioned with the phrase “The World is Gonna End,” potentially the name of her new track. The 10-second clip shows a woman with long red fingernails banging a tambourine next to a flaming globe while singing along to the lyrics, “I don’t care what the people know / The world’s gonna end in a month or so.” .”
But this surprise is not only to be found on the internet. An equally cryptic poster has been fixed to the side of a building in London’s Broadway Market. It reads “Long live the Queens” with the graffiti-style “S”. The same wreath could also be seen on the poster as at the end of the video trailer.
QOTSA left these traces shortly before the start of their tour in Ohio, USA, on May 26th, 2023. They are also going to Germany, with two performances on June 16th and 18th at the Hurricane Festival and the Southside Festival.
The last QOTSA album to date was VILLAINS, released in 2017.
