Queens of the Stone Age are back: With “Emotion Sickness” there is a new single with which the Californian alternative rockers announce their new record “In Times New Roman…”. The album will be released on June 16 – on CD and vinyl in different colors, as well as on the usual streaming platforms.
The announcement follows a teaser the group shared on their social media channels on May 9.
After feeling lost for some time, the band returned to the studio with renewed motivation to get back to their loud and raw rock, according to the press release. The new record will feature Josh Homme’s most scathing lyrics to date.
The cover of the upcoming record has already been shared:
It’s been six years since Queens of the Stone Age released their last studio album VILLAINS. The self-titled studio debut was released in 1998 after the band formed from the remnants of Josh Homme’s previous band Kyuss. The latter had dissolved in 1995 after internal disputes.
