Queen Elizabeth’s royal palaces will go to Charlotte and Louis

Unce ascended to the throne, Charles will take possession of the private property of Queen Elizabeth. But he won’t use it for personal reasons. The plan developed by the sovereign aims to assure the spare, the spare heirs, Charlotte and Louis the choice of a Royal residence to live in as adults.

Prince Charles, even the royals will pay the rent of the historic residences

Queen Elizabeth and Charles think of their grandchildren (but not all)

Sandringham in Balmoral, where the Royals spend their Christmas and summer holidays respectively, are just some of Elizabeth’s privately owned residences. But Charlotte and George of Cambridge will also inherit Charles’ mansions: Clarence House, official residence in London, Highgrove (preferred by the heir to the throne), in central England; Birkhall and the Castle of Mey in Scotland; and a cottage in Wales.

The Queen’s Royal Palaces in Charlotte and Louis

When Charlotte and Louis are grown up, Charles will make all his personal property available to them so that they have the opportunity to choose the one they wish to transform into theirs main residence. A privilege that was also reserved for the other “spare”, Uncle Harry, before and after meeting Meghan Markle, with an apartment in Clarence House and a villa in Kensington Palace.

George of Cambridge will also have a choice

The third in line of succession to the throne has just turned nine but his future as king can only be well planned. George can choose between Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castleas grandfather Carlo is also preparing to do, who would have opted immediately for the second, much more idyllic, and leaving his beloved Highgrove to his son William as a country residence.

Buckingham Palace, hated by Charles but preferred by William

William and Kate are about to move to Windsor to be close to the queen and they have chosen Adelaide Cottage as a temporary home. One day, in fact, they will ascend the throne and will have to make another move. Will they choose the nearby castle or Buckingham Palace, which William has never hidden his desire to reaffirm as the most important Royal residence?

Archie and Lilibet forgotten by Queen Elizabeth?

The future of Harry and Meghan’s children, now settled in California, appears more in doubt. Will they suffer from the faults of the Megxit?
