Queen Elizabeth’s corgis are doing well

After months of worry due to the fact that the two little dogs still seemed to suffer a lot from the loss of the queen – so much so that Ferguson admitted that sometimes we behaved as if Elizabeth were still alive and around the house – Now Sandy and Muick seem to have finally recovered.

In the image taken against the background of a staircase and posted by Fergie on Instagramthey seem ready to go out for a walk, but the duchess comments: «All they do is ask for biscuits».

What will corgis Sandy and Muick do for Christmas?

This year, Andrea di York and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, with whom he has lived for several decades anyway, are invited to Sandringham by King Charles III and, in addition to their daughters Beatrice and Eugenia and their families, they will also bring their two dogs with them. The trunk of the Royal car will be packed with toys, including the extravagant bunks complete with monogram and Crown. In recent months, the Duchess has, in fact, revealed that all her dogs are rather spoiled (she and Andrea also have five Norfolk terriers, which however will remain in Windsor).

At Sandringham the corgis will remember walks with Elizabeth

The Queen arrived at Sandringham every year in December, in time to welcome all her relatives at Christmas, and remained there until February, so Sandy and Muick are already very familiar with the paths of the Royal residence. In particular, they spent a lot of time in the gardens of Wood Farmthe villa not far from the main residence and where Prince Philip spent the years following his retirement from the public scene in 2017. From there they could see the sea and were often taken to the beach.

The memory of the mistress, Elizabeth II

Although she is now very busy with her new television career, 64-year-old Sarah Ferguson takes her two little dogs for walks herself several times a day, often visiting the gardens of Windosr Castle and the rose gardens so dear to the queen and her husband Filippo.

Queen Elizabeth’s refuge wall

The Duchess of York said that the dogs themselves lead her to their favorite places. Included an isolated wall where Queen Elizabeth used to sit for a few minutes of solitude, intent on reflecting away from everyone. Her last two corgis, who were also present at her funeral in September 2022, may have recovered from the loss of the queen, but they have certainly not forgotten her.
