Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II will invest £2 million ($2.7 million) in Virginia Giuffre’s charitable foundation. Previously, her son Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre, who accused him of rape. Under pressure from his mother, Prince Andrew will pay the victim more than 12 million pounds (more than 16 million dollars) as part of an out-of-court settlement. And he will retain the title of duke, the rank of vice admiral and the status of state adviser. He also promised to donate a substantial amount to charity in support of victims of violence.
According to Virginia Giuffre, Prince Andrew (the second son of Elizabeth II) raped her in London when she was 17 years old. He was a close associate of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was prosecuted for trafficking in minors. The prince himself denies any connection with Giuffre, until recently he was ready to prove his innocence in court. And he demanded that his case be considered by a jury.
On the media platform “Looking” documentary published Epstein’s Shadow. It tells the details of the high-profile case, as well as the background – who was Ghilain Maxwell Epstein.
