This was the first time in three years that the British court was represented on a state visit to Great Britain. The last state visit took place in 2019 before the corona pandemic, when the ex-president of the United States, Donald Trump, visited Great Britain with his wife, Melania Trump.
Camilla was wearing a blue lace embroidered dress, the insignia of the knighthood and a royal necklace, bracelet and earrings. On her head she wore Queen Elizabeth’s Belgian sapphire tiara, belonging to the same series as the jewelry.
Elizabeth wore the tiara in question when she visited Singapore in 1989 and when she welcomed China to Great Britain during a state visit in 2015.
