Noon said «the king is well.” In responding to those who asked her about the health of her husband Charles III, Queen Camilla used words that were not exactly reassuring. The king «Go on»commented Parker Bowles. «He does the best he can», considering the circumstances. Responses which, rather than reassuring the British, immediately raised some doubts. But how the king really is after his brief hospitalization and prostate surgery?
Queen Camilla, always close to her husband, has reduced her commitments
He left the London Clinic last Monday, the hospital where he had been hospitalized for three days, 75-year-old Carlo is recovering from the operation he underwent for an enlarged prostate. The convalescence will last at least a month and, to be by her side, Camilla Parker Bowles, 76, has reduced the Royal commitments that had been planned in this period for her role as queen. But yesterday she briefly left her husband alone at court to go and inaugurate a new support center for cancer patients.
The uncertain words of Queen Camilla
When visiting the new ward dedicated to cancer patients, which has just opened at the Royal Free Hospital in London and which offers medical, emotional and even financial support for patients, Camilla smiled at those who asked her about her husband. And instead of saying that the king is fine, as she did last week, she replied that Carlo is doing everything he can to recover. Words that, however, cause some concern.
Camilla did not hide her relief
The Royal Free Hospital is the 24th center for cancer patients visited by Camilla throughout the country since she married Carlo. And when a fundraiser for the new center told her she was happy the king was recovering, the queen immediately replied: “Thank God!”.
The silence of Buckingham Palace
Since last Monday, the last day of hospitalization for both Charles and Kate Middleton, at court they do not comment on the state of health of the two senior Royals, who are now convalescing. According to what was reported by the British media, the king has decided to first spend a few days in his London residence of Clarence House and, as soon as he feels able to travel, he will move with Camilla to Highgrove, their villa in the countryside, where the two they often dedicate themselves to gardening. But the doctors recommended themselves to the king: no effort!
