Aiko de Raaf has been appointed as quartermaster Integrated Care Agreement (IZA) at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport as of March 6, 2023.

The demand for care will increase faster than the supply can handle. The Integral Care Agreement (IZA) and other agreements have recently been concluded in the Netherlands to keep healthcare accessible, of good quality and affordable for everyone. All agreements see further cooperation in the region as part of the solution.

The movement has started to make healthcare future-proof. This movement is partly shaped by various theme tables under the direction of the administrative consultation. In addition to the national administrative tables, it is essential that cooperation is established in the region itself. To boost the transformation in the field, VWS is appointing a quartermaster IZA. The quartermaster’s task is to facilitate and strengthen cooperation in the region for the implementation of the Integrated Care Agreement and other agreements. This should lead to more examples of good regional examples being followed. In addition to facilitating and boosting cooperation in the region, the quartermaster will identify obstacles and propose solutions in consultation with VWS.

drs. DHA (Aiko) De Raaf has been working in various positions in the healthcare sector for the past 18 years. For the past 10 years he has been manager and also head of strategy and business development at the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the Netherlands (IKNL), where an integrated regional cooperative approach to oncology is commonplace. Aiko studied Public Administration at Leiden University.
