Qbuzz will run a lot fewer buses in Drenthe and Groningen in the coming weeks due to the school holidays. From today until Saturday 2 September, the timetable has been scaled down because fewer passengers than normal are expected.
For example, the Q-link and Qliner lines run less often or are scrapped altogether. This applies, for example, to line 109, between Assen and Zernike in the city of Groningen. Qbuzz is also scrapping a number of night lines, although this is mainly due to a driver shortage due to high absenteeism. For example, a line goes through the journeys between Groningen and Roden en Gieten (lines 417 and 409).
Other night bus journeys, such as from Meppel Center to Dieverbrug (line 28) and Hoogeveen (line 34), will not change, emphasizes Qbuzz. These are simply driven, despite the driver shortage.
Due to the tourist season, Qbuzz also says that it is taking into account the use of larger buses that may have to run more often. Certain routes pass popular attractions, such as the hunebeds, which can easily be visited with line 59 (Gieten – Exloo) and the Wildlands animal park, which can be reached with Qliner 300.
Qbuzz also adjusts the timetable to work on the N34, which will take place from today until Friday 4 August. The road is closed between Gieten and Westlaren, so Qliners 300 and 312 avoid the N34. Qbuzz uses replacement buses for destinations in Borger, Gieten and Gasselte.
