The midfielder played with a boot for natural grass (FG) and another for artificial grass (AG)
The ‘Futbol Emotion’ theory is that the kit man was wrong and gave Gavi two different types of boots
Gavi left us a strange image in the duel against Germany that has been going viral in the last few hours. He has nothing to do with player performance, but it does have to do with something that he wears and that is essential to be able to play well: boots.
In the match against Germany we could see that Gavi played with two boots with different studs: on one foot he had a type of boot typical of natural grass (FG) and on the other he had another one more typical of artificial grass (AG). Why did Gavi play with one of each boot? ‘Futbol Emotion’ has tried to give him an explanation through his YouTube channel.
They remember that in a previous interview, Gavi commented that he liked playing better with artificial turf boots than natural ones because he felt more comfortable. Maybe that’s why he chooses, at least, to use a boot on artificial grass. However, the theory that is gaining more strength is the one that ‘Futbol Emotion’ reels off: an error in the choice of the prop man.
According to this theory, the team man, in charge of collecting the material and transferring it to the player, took a boot from different pairs by chance that these pairs of boots had a different heel. That is why we saw Gavi with different studded boots in the game against Germany.
