Luciano Spalletti’s team is now ready to celebrate the third championship in the history of Naples. However -in the general euphoria- the president Aurelio De Laurentiis yesterday he released some statements on the championship. In particular – thanks to the historical rivalry between the two clubs – he referred to some related past episodes that would have denied other successes to the Neapolitans.
To the sentence of the patron of Napoli: “Sometimes we have finished second, but we could have finished first if… I feel I have won other championships, certainly that ofhonesty“, the reactions were not long in coming. After being triggered by a fan (“Good evening but after all these attacks by De Laurentiis who says we stole the championships, the club doesn’t say anything. Pistocchi is about to publish a book on stolen badges.”) Lapo Elkann himself replied from his Twitter profile as follows: ““Let them talk, counted the facts. 38 championships for them 3”.
Thirty-eight considering also the two championships revoked by Nelle seasons 2004/2005 and 2005/2006. And if in these days Juventus is waiting for the reasons of the Guarantee Committee regarding the cancellation with postponement of the 15-point penalty, De Laurentiis’ club was also referred for administrative offenses together with Juventus and 9 other teams, on 1 April 2022.
