PvdA turns and helps cabinet to support controversial trade agreement CETA | Inland

Next Monday or Tuesday – at the end of the political year – the senate will debate CETA with VVD minister Liesje Schreinemacher (Foreign Trade).

The Hague – In the nick of time, the cabinet seems to convince the Senate of its support for CETA, the controversial trade agreement with Canada. The PvdA senate faction will lean towards a yes vote next Tuesday, resulting in a narrow majority in favor of the treaty. And that while the PvdA in the House of Representatives is vehemently against it.
