PVDA presents party leaders in Kortrijk

PVDA believes there is a real chance that one or more West Flemish elected officials could be sent to Brussels in the upcoming elections in June. PVDA also reaches out to Vooruit, where they hope that the new chairman Melissa Depraetere will also chart a new course.

At the New Year’s reception, Nathalie Eggermont, PVDA party leader for the federal parliament, is determined: “2024 is the moment for us. We want to get the first elected representative from West Flanders in the history of our party.”

PVDA is also looking at Vooruit. “I hope that new chairwoman Melissa Depraetere will go in a different direction. To defeat the extreme right, we need a strong left,” says party leader Eggermont.

Ilona Vandenberghe is the party leader for the Flemish Parliament. The third places on the West Flemish lists are taken by Lotte Tienpont and Akie Mahdaoui.
