“Painful.” That is the word that PvdA party leader Attje Kuiken uses repeatedly, looking back on the week in which voting gun Khadija Arib left the House of Representatives. “We’ve had a painful week,” she says. She also finds it ‘painful’ that Arib did not feel supported. “And everyone is probably thinking: what a huge mess they are making in politics. I find that painful and sad.”
