Putin will not attend the Munich Security Conference

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin does not plan to attend the Munich Security Conference, which will be held in person for the first time in 2 years, the press secretary of the Russian leader said Dmitry Peskov. There is no such event in the president’s schedule for February 18-20, reports RIA News.

In 2007, Putin delivered the famous Munich speech. It was called Munich by analogy with Churchill’s Fulton speech, with which the Cold War began. But Putin in Munich proposed just a model of a world without wars. The head of state spoke about the mistakes of the world order after the Cold War, the imposition of bloc thinking stereotypes and the dangers of unipolarity, which lead to chaos.
