Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, the interlocutors discussed humanitarian issues of the military operation in Ukraine, transmits Kremlin press office.
“Particular attention was paid to humanitarian issues, primarily the measures taken to ensure the safety of the civilian population and the organization of humanitarian corridors in order to evacuate civilians from the areas of clashes, including Mariupol,” the press service cites a summary of the conversation.
Putin also told the Norwegian prime minister how the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations went, the next round of which took place on March 29 in Istanbul.

Office of the Prime Minister of Norway notedthat during his conversation with Putin, Støre urged the Russian president to stop the military operation and withdraw troops.
