Putin: We are on the path of liberalizing the use of foreign specialists

At a meeting with business representatives, Putin was complained that the issuance of entry permits for foreign workers was being delayed. He assured that Russia is already going “on the path of liberalizing the use of foreign labor”

Putin said that Russia is moving towards liberalization of the use of foreign specialists, including entry rules for them. He said this during a meeting with members of the association “Business Russia”.

One of the participants in the discussion drew attention to the fact that against the background of the pandemic, the issuance of entry permits for foreign workers in the metallurgy sector is delayed, sometimes up to three months.

“We will go, we are already moving along the path of liberalizing the use of foreign labor,” Putin replied.

He added that the problem exists not only among metallurgists, but also in other industries, primarily in construction. “We understand these issues, but we are forced to act within the framework of the recommendations of the relevant epidemiologists,” Putin stressed.
