Putin and Lukashenko discussed defense – RBK

The Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko talked on the phone, transfers Telegram channel “Pool of the First”, which is close to the Belarusian president.

According to him, the heads of state discussed the program of events in St. Petersburg and cooperation between the two countries, including in the field of defense.

The fact that the two presidents will personally meet in St. Petersburg on December 29, the press service of the Lukashenka administration announced yesterday. Within its framework, they should discuss cooperation between Moscow and Minsk.

Before that, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that Putin could meet with Lukashenko on the sidelines of the summit of leaders of the CIS countries. The event will take place in the city on December 28, it is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the creation of the commonwealth. In mid-December, the press secretary asserted that the next meeting of the Belarusian and Russian presidents would take place before the end of the year.
