Put Grandma in the freezerthe plot
In an Italy traversed by the crisis and the slow pace of bureaucracy, Claudia Maria Lusi (Miriam Leone) comes to terms with the country’s malfunction. He is the proprietor of a restoration company, but it is in critical condition. The state owes it around 160milan euros and has no more liquidity to continue the business.
To help her is there grandmother Birgit (Barbara Bouchet)whose pension is used to pay Claudia’s collaborators, Rossana (Lucia Ocone) and Margie (Marina Rocco). When Birgit dies, Claudia is forced to close the company, but Rossana dissuades her. She advises her friend to pretend that her grandmother is still alive in order to continue receiving the figure.
This would be a temporary solution, until payment by the Superintendency. Desperate, after defining the action as “illegal and immoral”, he accepts the advice and … transfers grandma’s body to the freezer, under a pile of frozen food. Soon after, meets Simone Recchia (Fabio De Luigi), upright Marshal of the Guardia di Finanzafocused on work.

The absence of the grandmother arouses some suspicion
After the divorce from his wife, he lives according to the cases to be solved, forcing subordinates to do the same. Exasperated by the grueling work shifts, they push him to investigate Claudia, in the hope that she will fall in love with her and let them catch their breath. The only anomaly that emerged, in fact, concerns itself the grandmother’s pension, channeled into the restoration company.
However, Simone falls in love with the woman and the suspicion that it is a scam does not even touch him. Claudia, however, begins to fear that the financier suspects something about her and with her friends he devises imaginative stratagems to escape justice. Meanwhile, it appears Augustus (Eros Pagni)the man Birgit was having an affair with, returned to tell her that he was finally widowed.
He meets Claudia, disguised as Birgit, who rejects him without giving rise to false hopes. Meanwhile Simone returns, worried about Claudia’s stability, evidently suffering from the absence of her mother. Even the financier is, in turn, convinced that he is talking to his grandmother and the words break through the heart of the restorer.

Claudia falls in love with Simone
Claudia and Simone start dating and, little by little, between sui generis appointments and romantic holidays, they fall in love. The feeling that binds them is so strong as to forge ahead: Claudia gets pregnant and they decide to get married within a year. When the restorer asks him: “Why do you pamper me so much?”, Recchia’s answer is enlightening. “We have to be careful,” he says. “We are two wounded. The first one who gets hurt runs away ».
And in fact neither of them escapes, but the story gets complicated when Simone sets out on the trail of the fugitive Giorgio Lavecchia (Nando Irene). Despite the best efforts, the operation is skipped due to the rivalry between Recchia and his colleague Rimbaudo (Maurizio Lombardi). Convinced to complete his task, Simone starts a manhunt.
For a series of coincidences, Claudia, Rossana and Margie try to move their grandmother to Rossana’s house. Before arriving at its destination, the corpse, lying on a wheelchair, falls from the van. He is intercepted by Augusto, who has been looking for a chance to speak with Birgit for days.
The ending of Put Grandma in the freezer
The three women are unmasked, but Simone explains to them that she always knew about the body hidden in the freezer. Claudia, Margie and Rossana risk being indicted, but Recchia could save them. The upright financier is now torn between the thirst for justice against any crime and love for the woman of his lifeas well as the future mother of her son.
Despite the doubts, in the end he comes to terms with himself and between Claudia and the law he chooses the former. Therefore, he becomes an accomplice and helps his partner to bring the body back to her house. Shortly thereafter, Augusto dies of a broken heart after discovering the disappearance of the great love of his life.
At the funeral, the three women are undecided on the next step to take: thaw the grandmother and organize a proper burial or continue to keep her in the freezer and receive retirement. Moreover, the figure would now help to pay the company’s expenses, but above all to contribute to the expenses of the unborn child. Simone will answer this dilemma.
