The police chased a car last night from the A4 near Hoofddorp to the Sikkelstraat in Nieuw-Vennep. The rental car had not been returned previously, after which a theft was reported.
On the A4 near Hoofddorp, the police reported the car, which was reported stolen by the rental company. The driver took off at high speed, after which the police chased the car with several vehicles. A police helicopter was also deployed in the area.
The chase came to an end at the Sikkelstraat in Nieuw-Vennep. A police spokesperson said that two people were taken from the car to the station. Whether they are also suspected of the car theft and will be arrested will have to be determined by further investigation.
