Last night snack bar ‘t Amsterdammetje on Beatrixplein in Purmerend was robbed. Around 10:30 a man entered the business and threatened the staff. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money. It’s not the first time the snack bar has been robbed.
After the robber had captured an unknown amount of money, he fled towards the center of Purmerend, through the station tunnel.
Last night, the area was searched for the perpetrator, but no one was found. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
Not first time
The snack bar has been robbed several times. Last year August was the last time: then the staff was threatened with a knife by two young men who then fled with only cigarettes.
It is not yet clear whether there is a connection to previous robberies.
