Purchasing power in the Netherlands falls on average by 2.7 percent due to high inflation

The purchasing power of the Dutch will fall by an average of 2.7 percent this year, reports the Central Planning Bureau (CPB) Wednesday. It is the largest decrease in purchasing power in 40 years. This is caused by the rapidly rising prices of energy and food, among other things. The planning office also expects the economy to grow by 3.6 percent this year, despite the unrest in eastern Europe.
