On the last match day, Hertha slipped down to relegation rank 16 and has to fight for a place in the Bundesliga. At least there was a little consolation for the Berliners – over 5 million euros!
It’s about loan player Arne Maier (24)! He made a point landing at FC Augsburg, fulfilled the clause installed by Hertha manager Fredi Bobic (50) at the last minute in the 2-1 win against Fürth, which now gives the Berliners the windfall.
The deal is perfect!
Maier had to play 25 Bundesliga games in the starting eleven.
curious: The midfielder only made 21 appearances as a starter. However, since each of his eight substitutions is counted as half a game, Maier now has the necessary number of games in the end (21 plus 4).
For Augsburg, the purchase obligation applies! Hertha collects five million euros and Maier’s contract in Augsburg is automatically extended until 2026 according to BZ information!
