The grammar school at Europasportpark in Prenzlauer Berg is dilapidated: boarded up windows, crumbling facades. And no short-term remedy in sight.
The renovation was postponed to 2027. Behind this is something very, very typical for Berlin: complete administrative failure.
The students now have to pay for what adults screwed up. Being late in submitting construction documents in this urgent case is an inexcusable sloppiness, to say the least.
A profound education is crucial for the future prospects of these students. Anyone who expects good performance from youngsters must do everything possible to optimize the general conditions. But that seems silly. Unbearable!
