Punta del Este: Generational change | News

There are places in the world that are not affected by the crisis, especially when they are nourished by celebrities. Haughty paradises that neglect the economies of the region, go from inflation, to the change of government, from the left and the right. They are true geographical bubbles that are founded on glamour, money and scrolls. And if they are not your own scrolls due to age and/or talent, at least they are blood, enough to show a document at the door of any top nightclub and that the same last name is the red carpet that carries them, like Aladdin, wherever they want most.

This end of the year, in Punta del Este There was a generational renewal like never seen in the Uruguayan city. It was on December 27 at the Parada 11 complex in La Brava, where the most powerful and classic surnames of Argentine entertainment shone with new faces. Then, among the corridors that linked the different VIPs of the Tale Of Us event, where DJs Øostil and Enzo Monza showed their best electronic performances, you could see Lucia Celasco (29), the granddaughter of Susana Gimenezchatting with Francisco Tinelli (25), son of Marcellus; as well as Lola Latorre (22), daughter of Fernando and Yanina, with Titian (22) and Balthazar Gravier (25), the eldest children of Valeria Mazza and her husband.

All of them, heavyweights of social networks with millions of followers each, but who even for gossip magazines need to be identified as the children of their parents. And if we refer to impressive figures, it is also worth mentioning heirs of Ricardo Fort, Martita (19) and Philip (19), perhaps the newest of this breed but with the powerful aura of the late chocolatier accompanying them at all times and elevating them in terms of prestige.

They completed this nineties refresh Azucena Coudeu (19), the daughter of former model Sol Acuña, current owner of the Rapsodia clothing brand, and a regular from the East like Emerald Miterdaughter of Bartholomewthe late director of the newspaper La Nación.
A true dream night that was signed by the very famous top model Esther Canadas who with his exclusive presence placed the evening at an international level of excellence, as it could be an event in the best Ibiza or Tulum style, but in the heart of the River Plate territory. It is worth noting that the Spaniard in the 90s was at the same level as Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigová and Kate Moss, stars of the world catwalk.

Virtuality. However, this generational reinvention was not limited to just a night of electronic music and energizing drinks. The trend is more territorial and plural. Not all children of celebrities like nighttime flashes. There are other parts of the city that are meeting and resting places for an Instagram story or an exchange. Subscribers to the luxury lounges, these gastronomic spaces where you have a late lunch and then watch the sunset on any of the two most famous beaches in Punta (La Mansa or La Brava), there are other illustrious surnames such as Renata Repetto (26), daughter of Nicolás and Florencia Raggi, as well as Catarina Spinetta (46), who takes advantage of the tranquility that the place offers to rest with his family and son Angelo (23), another of the young actors who set the trend. Another celebrity – but one who maintains a low profile – is Juanita Tinelli (21), who with fewer eccentricities than his brothers, and trying to escape the paparazzi, enjoyed the sunset on the terraces of an exclusive restaurant-bar with his boyfriend Mija Mamruth.

Faithful to the generation that visits it, Punta del Este no longer expects the two or three top events of the season as the parade of Roberto Giordano, the Caras y Gente magazine parties or the birthdays of prominent businessmen. Today virtuality prevails and every Instagram photo or Twitter message sent by its own protagonists is worth a magazine cover. This can be seen at Lolita Latorrewhich at every step attacks with a new publication on its official Instagram account and therefore a new exchange.

Great business that famous people have more than oiled: free vacations, self-managed advertising and money received in a loop. Under this triangle that has already become a lifestyle, many are “the children of” who make Punta a traveling showcase. You just have to look at their networks to see which are genuine vacation photos and which are advertisements.

More children. The next few nights promise more international DJs, more brands sponsoring events and more complexes inviting influencers that attract tourists in general. And with the arrival of January, the second wave of celebrities from the new generation is expected, such as Thomas Kirzner (25), son of Adrian Suar, Tiziana Sabatini (24), daughter of Osvaldo and Catherine Fulopand Amber De Benedictis (20), daughter of Juanita Viale and great-granddaughter of Mirtha Legrand.

Continuing with this logic, businessmen in the sector are already imagining an end of the year in 2040 with Matilda Salazar, Mirko Marley and Dionisio Mendoza, doing their thing on the beaches of Punta, perhaps sponsored by a champagne brand, while inviting tourists to get to know the place.
