Laurent Simons is twelve and has just completed a master’s degree in quantum physics at the University of Antwerp. Last year he managed to obtain his bachelor’s degree in just one year. And with the highest distinction.

Because he already took a few master’s courses, he has now also gained a master’s degree in a year’s time. Laurent did an internship in Munich, among other things, and wrote a thesis that ordinary people have no understanding of. It seems almost impossible that a boy of twelve can do this. But the Ostend citizen has not yet completed his final piece, he would like to link a doctorate to it.
