The sports goods manufacturer Puma in Herzogenaurach is launching a new collection of outdoor shoes and clothing. The line entitled “Seasons” relies on technical materials and innovations to keep the wearer dry even in bad weather.
A special focus is on the sport of trail running, but the pieces can also be used in other outdoor segments, Puma announced on Thursday. For weather resistance, the sports goods manufacturer uses Gore-Tex materials for trail shoes and Sympatex – a three-layer waterproof, windproof and breathable fabric made from recycled material – for a jacket.
“As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the closure of gyms, we saw more and more people getting out into the great outdoors for fitness, health and wellness,” said Erin Longin, general manager of Puma Run Train. “We knew that this behavior was here to stay and people were looking for apparel that would perform in the great outdoors, which is why we created Seasons as an extension of our Run Puma performance collection.”
Puma’s “Seasons” collection has been available in its own stores and online shop as well as at selected retailers since September.
