Puma unveiled the ‘Luxe Sport’ collection alongside its Metaverse experience ‘Black Station’ during its runway show at New York Fashion Week. However, unlike its competitor Adidas, the sports goods manufacturer from Herzogenaurach did not collaborate with fashion houses such as Gucci and Balenciaga. Although Puma has already collaborated with higher-priced brands such as Palomo Spain and MCM in September, this time it’s all about the black cat.
One of the centerpieces of the collection is the T7 tracksuit, Puma announced on Friday. This has been reimagined in various forms including a bodysuit, blazer and puffer jacket.
“Puma Luxe Sport pays homage to the T7, one of Puma’s most iconic designs, but the collection is also a reminder that style rules can always be rewritten,” the statement said. The brand plays with wide silhouettes and details such as the logo as an all-over print and large zips. When it comes to the color palette, Puma relies on red, purple, beige and turquoise, which together with the cuts give the collection an 80s vibe.
The first pieces of the collection are available in the Puma online shop and at selected retailers and cost between 79.95 euros for bodysuits and 379.95 euros for the puffer jacket.
