The German sporting goods provider Puma SE is increasing its commitment to African football. As part of a long-term agreement with the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), the company will become the official technical partner of the continental football association, Puma said on Wednesday.
As part of the collaboration, which begins on November 1st, the brand will provide the official match balls and the clothing of the referees at various competitions organized by the CAF, including the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023, according to a statement. In addition, Puma will participate in “various marketing activities inside and outside the stadiums”.
Puma has been supplying various African national teams since 1997. The company currently says it has partnerships with six national associations on the continent.
