Poised between extreme functionality and high fashion, Puma and Italian outerwear brand Nemen bring out a capsule that puts the focus on the camouflage look.
The capsule was inspired by the “elitist world of super sports car prototypes, which are often covered with a special anti-espionage camouflage film,” said the sports goods manufacturer from Herzogenaurach on Thursday. To do this, the brands have collaborated to develop their own pattern, inspired by optical illusions used in the automotive industry, in which the shapes and angles of the prototypes are distorted and obscured.
This pattern has been used for jackets, trousers, knitwear and accessories, which are rounded out with additional military-inspired details, adding functionality to the pieces. For example, there is a 2-in-1 three-layer jacket with a removable inner lining and an integrated disc system in the hood.
The collaboration will be available from November 19th in the Puma online shop and from selected retailers and will cost between 45 and 650 euros.
