A&E Networks commissioned a documentary about the deceased Wu-Tang Clan member Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The film is said to be two hours long and provide intimate insights into the rapper’s life.
The documentary will be titled Biography: Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Among other things, the rapper’s estate and his widow Icelene Jones are to direct the film. The whole thing is produced by Pulse Films and Four Screens.
Pulse Films announced the flick on Instagram to mark the 27th anniversary of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s album RETURN TO THE 36 CHAMBERS. “We’re excited to announce that our documentary about the iconic, Grammy-nominated artist, directed by father-son duo Sam and Jason Pollard, is in the works!” said the production company.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard passed away in 2004 just two days before his birthday at the age of 35 after complaining of chest pains. He is survived by his wife Icelene Jones and seven children.
