Hansen will have to be treated with blood coagulation drugs in the next four to six months, which will make “contact sports at the highest level” impossible.
The Danish international is “now out of danger, but won’t be able to play for the club from the capital until the end of the season,” said his club in a press release.
After the end of the season he moved to Denmark
Hansen is considered one of the best players in the world on the left backcourt, he won the Olympics with Denmark (2016), was world champion twice (2019 and 2021) and European champion once (2012).
With PSG, the 34-year-old has won eight French championships and four cups since 2012. His contract with PSG ends in June. After that he should go back to his home country to Aalborg Handbold.
