Pucci presents creative director Camille Miceli’s first collection

The Italian fashion house Pucci has presented the first collection of Camille Miceli. In September she was appointed artistic director.

The House of Pucci is known for its colorful fashion and resortwear, particularly its 70’s-inspired spiral patterns – codes that Miceli has transformed into a modern and relevant way of dressing. Miceli has earned her spurs from a variety of French luxury houses including Louis Vuitton, Dior and Chanel.

A nomad in spirit, Miceli’s debut line spans different seasons and destinations, focusing on sporty separates and nuanced geometric prints without sacrificing their vitality.

A new logo was introduced, inspired by an archive “Capri Sport” label from 1953: an intertwined double fish in the shape of an emblematic P, which can be seen on a belt buckle, a pair of wooden-soled sandals or a single earring is.

Never far away from the holiday resort

The first collection, called “La Grotta Azzurra”, was inspired by the Italian island of Capri, known for its glamour, joie de vivre and dolce vita. Key designs include kaftans and kimonos made from fluid fabrics such as cotton voile, silk chiffon, drill, stretch jersey and terry. A woman wearing Pucci can never be too far from a resort, but there are also sportier pieces and tonal pieces that are suited to urban settings, such as a black A-line dress that only has the bow at the neck Decorated with a splash of color.

Accessories include straw and canvas bags, some made from upcycled vintage scarves. Colorful wedge sandals, scarf hats and fishy flip-flops underline the midsummer and apres-soleil appeal.

The new collection aims to reflect the timeless simplicity of a fleeting moment that reflects the world we live in today, Pucci explained in a statement. Camille Miceli’s vision is not trans-seasonal, but remains in the immediacy of “see now, buy now”, with monthly “drops” available in stores and online.
