Public prosecutor is investigating suspicious death in Roeselare, person arrested for questioning

This morning the emergency services were alerted, the public prosecutor’s office is also on site. Witnesses heard a bang in the early morning. The man was found by residents of the apartment building. “An investigating judge has been appointed, the lab and the medical doctor are on site,” says Tom Janssens of the prosecutor’s office.

A resident of the property has been arrested for questioning.

According to local residents, it is a drug neighborhood and there are often unsavory types hanging around in the building. “It is a street with a reputation, I often see a lot of cars here and then parcels and money are exchanged,” says an anonymous local resident. Another neighbor then moves again because of the nuisance.
