PSV was able to deal the final blow to Feyenoord on Sunday afternoon and take a lead of thirteen points. On the other hand, the Rotterdam team was able to grab one last straw to revive the title fight.
PSV and Feyenoord are the two best teams in the Eredivisie at the moment and that led to a very attractive match. It certainly wasn’t always good, but it kept you on the edge of your seat for 90 minutes.
Stormy beginning
PSV started stormily and took a 1-0 lead within five minutes. Malik Tillman, the great star on the Eindhoven side, played defender David Hancko through the legs and finished flawlessly.
It seemed to be a nice afternoon for PSV, but many mistakes were made at the back. Olivier Boscagli made two obvious mistakes. Santiago Gimenez encountered the goalkeeper, but a few minutes later Yankuba Minteh was able to punish a mistake by the Frenchman. 1-1.
Goldcrest Til
PSV had many great chances to take the lead again before half time, but the sights were not focused, which meant that the half time score was 1-1. After the break, Feyenoord came out of the dressing room strong and the Rotterdam team had the necessary opportunities to take the lead. He also arrived half an hour before time. Undefeated
Then the two teams held each other in a headlock. But PSV will be most happy with a draw. Not so much based on the game, but given the fact that the gap with Feyenoord remains ten points. A gap that is normally enough for the last ten games.
In addition, PSV also remains undefeated in the competition and is also on course to possibly become undefeated champions. That’s still a long way off, but many PSV fans will have their first drink of the title on Sunday evening.
