PSV has won the Eredivisie for the sixth time in a row. The three points were also taken quite easily in the home match against Go Ahead Eagles: 3-0. However, there is still a provisional comment to be made about the undefeated status of the Eindhoven team. There has been a lack of resistance so far.
PSV had a difficult time in the first half against a stiff Go Ahead Eagles. The team from Deventer was compact and the leader of the Eredivisie had a hard time with that in the opening phase. Still, they took the lead after a quarter of a game. Jordan Teze passed to Luuk de Jong who headed in. House specialty.
The home team remained sloppy and will undoubtedly have received a thunderous speech from coach Peter Bosz at half-time, who called it a great match in the run-up to this match. The trainer could be anything but satisfied.
Match assists
In the second half, PSV showed a different face from the start. It quickly closed the match. Guus Til and De Jong again were accurate for the Eindhoven team.
The most striking thing about these two goals and the opening goal were the players who provided the assists. Those were full-backs. Teze gave the cross to De Jong at the 1-0 and the 3-0. Patrick van Aanholt did this from the left as a signaler for Til. They had a competition among themselves to see who would give the most assists. The winner was Teze because 3-0 was also the final score.

Footnote
A dissonant Wednesday evening was Hirving Lozano. The Mexican who returned this summer still seems to have to find his feet, although he was accurate last week in Almere.
PSV remains clear even after the first ‘topper’ of the season. The predicate that Bosz attached to this match does not have to be taken too seriously, especially in retrospect.
The fact that PSV managed to win everything this season is mainly due to the programme. It affected four of the bottom six teams in the rankings. Next Saturday, number five in that list, FC Volendam, awaits. The atmosphere in Eindhoven will not be any worse for the time being, but one swallow does not make a summer.
