PSV striker Luuk de Jong and attacker Noni Madueke returned to the training field with the Eindhoven team on Tuesday. The leader of the Eredivisie reported that the two football players, who have not been available for a long time due to injuries, completed an individual training at De Herdgang training complex.
De Jong suffered a calf injury in the lost game against Rangers FC in the preliminary round of the Champions League at the end of August. PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooy took into account that he would have to miss the striker for a few weeks.
Madueke’s return is sooner than expected. He has been sidelined since the end of July. The 20-year-old attacker suffered a serious ankle injury during training in a collision with a teammate. PSV expected that Madueke will not be able to play for the entire first half of the season.
PSV will play the next league match on Saturday October 1 at Cambuur Leeuwarden.
