Érick Gutiérrez has left PSV after five seasons, NOS reports. The midfielder returns to his native Mexico, where he will play for Chivas from Guadalajara.
At PSV, 28-year-old Gutiérrez still had a contract until the summer of 2025. It is unknown what amount Chivas pays for the inspector. He previously played in Mexico for Pachuca.
Gutiérrez started his career at PSV under coach Mark van Bommel. In his five years in Eindhoven, the club was not champion once. Gutiérrez did win the cup twice and the Johan Cruijff Shield with PSV. In the 2021 cup final against Ajax (2-1), he scored one of the two goals.
In his period at PSV, Gutiérrez commuted between bench and base. He came to 94 league games in which he scored seven goals.
