PSV draw tough opponents in the Champions League group stage

PSV plays in the group stage of the Champions League against Sevilla, Arsenal and RC Lens. These opponents came out of the box during the draw in Monaco. The group stage of the Champions League starts on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 September. The final of the million ball this season will be played on Saturday 1 June at Wembley Stadium in London.

PSV defeated Rangers FC from Glasgow in the play-offs for the Champions League. In Scotland it became 2-2, on Wednesday evening the Eindhoven team defeated Rangers FC 5-1. PSV thus secured a place in the group stage of the Champions League.

For the first time in five years, two Dutch teams will play in the Champions League this season: Dutch champions Feyenoord and PSV. Feyenoord will meet Atletico Madrid, Lazio Roma and Celtic in the group stage.

From next season, two Dutch teams will play in the group stage of the ball of millions. The club that finishes third in the Eredivisie then plays in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League.
