PSV starts the home match against Bodø/Glimt in the group stage of the Europa League with Yorbe Vertessen as striker. The Belgian has never been in the starting line-up before this season.
Vertessen takes the place of Xavi Simons, who was the central attacker in recent games in the absence of the injured Luuk de Jong. Simons now drops back to midfield, where he plays with Ibrahim Sangaré and Joey Veerman. Guus Til has lost his starting spot.
Vertessen missed the start of this season because he had surgery on his appendix.
In addition to Til, trainer Ruud van Nistelrooij also victimizes central defender André Ramalho after the 2-1 defeat against FC Twente in the Eredivisie. Jordan Teze takes his place and Phillipp Mwene replaces Teze as right-back.
The third change in the base at PSV is in the front right. Johan Bakayoko starts on the bench and Ismael Saibari in the base.
