PSV awaits an exciting return after a draw against Rangers FC

Just like a year ago, PSV drew 2-2 at Rangers FC. In Glasgow, the team from Eindhoven had the better of the game, but in the end could not complain with a draw. Next week in Eindhoven it will be decided who will go to the group stage of the Champions League.

There was no problem for PSV. It dominated and controlled the game for at least 44 minutes. Because just before half time it went wrong. Another individual foul led to a Rangers goal. An individual error as happened twice last year in the diptych in the play-offs of the Champions League.

This time it was Ibrahim Sangaré who made the mistake just before his own sixteen. He lost the ball and Rangers FC played it out quickly. Abdullah Sima finally hit the target beautifully. 0-1, completely against the ratio.

Sangaré corrects error
Fortunately, there were still 45 minutes left for PSV to make up for the mistakes. It was therefore of all Sangaré who took care of the equalizer. He completed a brilliant attack. Bakayoko passed the ball and Saibari fooled the defense with a handy transfer. The Ivorian was given all the time to finish in a controlled manner.

Despite the predominance, Rangers scored again fifteen minutes before the end on the other side. With a quick counter, Robbi Matondo was the end station. He could easily shoot the 2-1 behind Walter Benitez.

Quick equalizer
The Scots could not enjoy that lead for long, because just under five minutes later the equalizer was already in the net. Luuk de Jong headed in from a corner and put the same score as a year ago on the scoreboard.

PSV went on the hunt after the victory and was incredibly threatening. But there was no more scoring, so all cards are still on the table. Last year, despite a 2-2 draw in Glasgow, things went wrong in the Philips Stadium. PSV lost 1-0 at home. Next week, the necessary candles will be lit in Eindhoven so as not to experience that scenario again.
