PSG ultras want to boycott games

The organized fan scene of the French soccer champions Paris Saint-Germain wants to boycott the capital club’s games for the time being.

This was announced by the group Collectif Ultras Paris and thus reacted to the tensions with the club management. The boycott should not only affect the men’s team around Lionel Messi and Neymar, but also the women’s team and the handball team.

“Recent events and the state of our mutual relationship with management lead us to believe that this is the best and only solution that can preserve a future together,” the letter said. The background to the quarrels is the club’s purchasing policy and the club’s management’s interest in buying the Stade de France. PSG currently play at long-time home ground Parc des Princes.

Most recently, PSG fans had protested in front of Neymar’s residence. The 31-year-old offensive star has had problems with the Parisian attachment in the past. The annoyance is also great because of world champion Messi (35), who is about to move to Saudi Arabia.
