After insulting statements
Former Bundesliga professionals Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi as well as Layvin Kurzawa are facing punishment after allegedly making offensive statements. The Paris Saint-Germain quartet has been summoned to the next meeting of the disciplinary commission on October 5th. This was announced by the Ligue de Football Professionnel.
The four players are accused of making offensive comments after PSG’s 4-0 win in the classic against Olympique Marseille last Sunday. In addition, fans of the capital club are being investigated for homophobic chants from the stands.
Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra also intervened after the incidents from the stands and through the players and called for consistent action. “Our message is clear: absolute determination in the face of the unacceptable,” wrote the politician on “X”. The common struggle of all those involved will intensify. These songs would have spoiled the festival in the Prinzenpark. “It is urgent to ban them from the stadiums,” said Oudéa-Castéra.
According to French media reports, including “L’Equipe“, the professionals could be punished with a ban of up to four games. Kolo Muani has only been playing for PSG since this season; after a strike at Eintracht Frankfurt, a record transfer fee of 95 million euros was negotiated for the SGE on the last deadline day. Ex-Dortmunder Dembélé also only came to Paris from FC Barcelona in the summer.
