Proyecto Ballena 2022: cultural vision and political conversation

Juana Molina, Boris Groys, Jovenes x el clima, Tamara Tenenbaum, Franco “Bifo” Berardi, Carlos Ulanovsky, Enzo Traverso, Dora Barrancos, Maitena and Ofelia Fernándezare some of the cultural and social activists who will appear at the Project Whale Festival 2022from October 13 to 16, at the Kirchner Cultural Center.

The festival, directed by Lilian Viola, is a reflective space designed to generate encounters between various referents of social and cultural life. The objective is to invite the exchange of ideas between personalities and the public to improve the present. The social actors will talk and exchange glances with the attendees, developing the theme of the presentation on the meaning of the “Freedom”.

“What do we talk about when we talk about “freedom”? What are the collective limits of individual freedom in a Republic? Are we advancing towards a freedom outside of democracy? Is it possible to imagine a democracy that threatens freedoms? These are some of the questions that the event organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Nation.

At the CCK site, located at Calle Sarmiento 151, you can also enjoy film cycles, debate tables and thematic book fairs. The proposals will delve into freedom, in various aspects of culture and politics, of current Argentine society.

Free workshops for artistic experimentation with Diana Szeimblum, Diego Bianchi Y Gabriela Bejermann, also make up the complementary activities of the event. However, the most outstanding main course is offered by the live improvisation set, by the artist Juana Molina.

All festival activities are with free and free entry until the capacity of each room is filled, except for the concert by Juana Molina (Saturday 15, 20 pm, Sala Argentina). Tickets for this activity will be available from Tuesday, October 11 at 12 noon on the Centro Cultural Kirchner website.
